When does my coverage start?
Honda Plus is counted from your vehicle’s original delivery date at 0 km, not from the day you buy the plan. Waiting does not move your coverage forward: an 8-year plan still ends 8 years after delivery, or at its km limit, whichever comes first. Honda also recommends buying when you acquire the vehicle.
- Basic factory warranty: 3 years / 60,000 km
- Powertrain: 5 years / 100,000 km
- Honda Plus: up to 8 years / 200,000 km
Example only, not a quote: on an 8-year / 200,000 km plan, a vehicle that is already 3 years and 60,000 km old has at most 5 years / 140,000 km of Honda Plus coverage left.
If a plan can be offered to you
Before anything is concluded, the advisor gives you all the information required by law, and you can accept, refuse or correct the proposal. The Honda Plus contract sets out the plan’s terms, limits and exclusions: ask your advisor to explain them before you commit.
Honda’s cancellation rule. Honda states that a plan can be cancelled for any reason within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, through the Honda dealer. In Quebec, this term is in addition to the 10-day legal right described near the form. If you live elsewhere, ask your advisor which cancellation rules apply.
Refund. Honda’s public pages do not say what applies after 30 days. Ask your advisor for the Service Provision.
Price. The price in your quote includes all mandatory fees. In Quebec, only GST and QST are added. If you live elsewhere, ask your advisor which taxes apply.
