How much does a Honda extended warranty cost in Canada?
The price of a Honda Plus extended warranty depends on four things: the model family, the plan (years and kilometres), the model year, and whether the vehicle is gas, hybrid or electric. Honda publishes its suggested retail prices on that basis, in Canadian dollars, in a list effective May 1, 2026 that may change without notice. An advisor gives you our price for your vehicle.
Honda Plus is the extended warranty presented by Honda Canada on its website and available through Honda dealers. Honda’s price list is public, on honda.ca. This site does not reprint its amounts. What decides the price?
Four things set the price on Honda’s list: the model family, the plan (years and kilometres), the model year, and whether the vehicle is gas, hybrid or electric. Your current kilometres do not change the price on the list, but they count for eligibility: under 100,000 km, on a vehicle up to 5 model years old. See the eligibility rules.

Honda prices its gas models in groups: one column for the Civic, one for the Accord, CR-V and HR-V, one for the Pilot, Odyssey, Ridgeline and Passport.

Plan: years and kilometres
Honda lists 9 comprehensive plans. Each pairs years with a kilometre limit; more years or a higher limit generally raises the suggested price.

Honda’s list adds a surcharge based on the vehicle’s model year. Your advisor can tell you how it applies to your vehicle.

Gas, hybrid or electric
Hybrid and electric models have their own price columns: Civic and Prelude hybrids, Accord and CR-V hybrids, and the Prologue (electric).
How Honda groups models for pricing
Honda groups its gas models into three price columns: the Civic; the Accord, CR-V and HR-V; and the Pilot, Odyssey, Ridgeline and Passport. Models in the same column have the same suggested price on a given plan. An advisor gives you our price for your model and plan.
Honda Civic. The Civic has its own price column. Civic and Prelude hybrids are priced separately, in the hybrid and electric section.
Honda Accord, CR-V and HR-V. These three share one column, so they have the same suggested price on every plan. The Accord and CR-V hybrids are priced separately.
Honda Pilot, Odyssey, Ridgeline and Passport. These four share the third gas column. Give us your model year, kilometres and model, and an advisor tells you whether a plan can be offered for your vehicle.
Model years and the Honda Plus Inspection
Honda’s list adds a surcharge based on the model year. This site does not reprint the amounts: ask your advisor how it applies to your vehicle. Model years 2022 and 2023 require a Honda Plus Inspection.

Honda prices its hybrid and electric models in three separate columns: Civic and Prelude hybrids, Accord and CR-V hybrids, and the Prologue (electric).

When does my coverage start?
Honda Plus is counted from your vehicle’s original delivery date at 0 km, not from the day you buy the plan. Waiting does not move your coverage forward: an 8-year plan still ends 8 years after delivery, or at its km limit, whichever comes first. Honda also recommends buying when you acquire the vehicle.

Example only, not a quote: on an 8-year / 200,000 km plan, a vehicle that is already 3 years and 60,000 km old has at most 5 years / 140,000 km of Honda Plus coverage left.

Is Honda’s list price what I pay?
Not necessarily: Honda’s list gives suggested prices. Your price is the one your advisor gives you, in your quote. The price in your quote includes all mandatory fees. In Quebec, only GST and QST are added.

Why can the price of a Honda Plus plan vary?
The price of a Honda Plus plan can vary with the vehicle’s model year, the plan’s term and its kilometres. Ask for a detailed written quote.
Honda’s own price list says the dealer may sell for less.
Can I change my mind after buying?
In Quebec, you may cancel (rescind) your extended warranty contract at your discretion, at no cost or penalty, within 10 days after it is concluded, by sending written notice to the merchant or its representative. The contract ends as soon as the notice is sent, and the merchant must refund the amount received as soon as possible. This period becomes one year if the merchant did not give you the warranty information that the law requires (Consumer Protection Act, s. 228.3). Honda also states that a plan can be cancelled for any reason within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, through the Honda dealer. This term is in addition to your 10-day legal right. Honda’s public pages do not say what applies after 30 days. Ask your advisor for the Service Provision.

Can I pay in instalments? Is there interest-free financing?
Honda recommends buying the plan when you acquire the vehicle so it can be rolled into the financing or the cash settlement. Ask your advisor about payment options for your plan. This site advertises no interest-free financing, and no payment is requested on it.
